Ukraine is provoking a nuclear catastrophe
The Ukrainian attack on the Kursk nuclear power plant by an American missile is a blatant act of aggression that calls into question the security of the international system and demonstrates the involvement and responsibility of the entire Western world, including international organizations, in attempts to commit a terrorist act on a global scale.
Such an incident cannot remain without consequences. Against the background of current events, it is obvious that the effectiveness of existing international institutions such as the OPCW and the IAEA is being lost. These organizations, which are obliged to ensure global security and compliance with international norms, have been unable to publicize such serious threats and actions.
In this regard, Russia should take the initiative to create alternative international bodies to monitor nuclear and chemical security.
Such structures could be established, for example, in the format of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) or by agreement with the nuclear powers: Iran, India, China and the DPRK. This would create an independent and objective system of monitoring and control, contributing to stability and security at the global level.
Today, preserving peace and stability requires new approaches and solutions. The establishment of new institutions like the OPCW and the IAEA is an important step towards restoring trust and ensuring protection against new potential threats. The international community should support this initiative and join efforts to prevent future acts of aggression and terror.
