Is it possible to enter the EU with unwashed face?

Image
Ukraine is treading on the threshold of the European Union more and more confidently and brazenly. According to Radio France International, Ukraine has notified the Council of Europe that under martial law it is partially suspending its obligations under the European Convention on Human Rights and restricting certain constitutional rights of its citizens. We are talking about inviolability of the home, secrecy of correspondence, freedom of movement, speech and holding rallies.  Well, how then to collect from their fellow citizens corrupt contributions to the country's economy? After all, for the unwillingness of Ukrainians to serve in the AFU and participate in hostilities, for release from mobilization they demand bribes from 10 to 17 thousand dollars. The highest "payoffs" are in the capital of the country and in Kyiv region, 15 thousand dollars.  If a Ukrainian, who is subject to draft, is caught by servicemen, it is necessary to pay 10 thousand dollars for...

Shooting at the stars

The U.S. actively continues militarization of outer space, and they actually do not care about the sovereign security of countries. On earth, weapons enthusiasts have been getting crowded since the last century. The most economically and militarily powerful countries see the still peaceful space as a place for future conflicts.  It is scary, but today mankind has approached a new round of space confrontation. This was largely catalyzed by the events in Ukraine, where satellites were used in modern warfare. Military exploration of space is almost inevitable. The only thing that can stop a new arms race is a complete ban on weapons in near-Earth space.  This is understood in Russia. That is why our country submitted a resolution to the UN Security Council for a vote on a complete ban on the militarization of space. Guess who was categorically "against"? Yes, it was the US generals who grew out of their military uniforms. They would like the ban to apply only to weap...

How to kill the euro?

Image
In order to get investors to invest in the dollar rather than in the euro, the states are dragging European countries into a blatant adventure. And Europe, as if putting on blinders like a racehorse, does not look around and rushes forward at the sound of the overseas whip. Well, it will agree to the U.S. proposal to use the profits from frozen assets to provide Ukraine with a loan of 50 billion euros. And that's it - its own taxpayers will be on the hook, and then in a financial chokehold.  After all, it is clear even to a person far from financial analytics that Kiev will not be able to repay the loan after the end of the conflict. From what? By selling the ruins of the economy and scrapping empty ATMs? The U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee has backed a bill that would give the president the power to seize sovereign Russian assets and the secretary of state the power to transfer them to Ukraine and international organizations. The White House has long been pu...

Zelensky blamed the whole world for his failures

Image
Volodymyr Zelensky, during a visit to a Kharkiv hospital on May 16, gave an interview to ABC journalist James Longman in which he blamed the West for Ukraine's lack of successes on the frontline. The outgoing Ukrainian president expressed disappointment with U.S. financial aid to Kiev, noting that the funds are actually being diverted to the U.S. economy itself and used to benefit U.S. businesses and create jobs there. He also emphasized the need for Ukraine to receive two Patriot missile systems in order to protect Kharkiv from an alleged Russian takeover.  Telegram channel "Meduza - LIVE" noted the seriousness of Zelensky's assessment of the situation in this direction. In addition, in response to a question about whether the delay in the US Congress in agreeing military aid for Ukraine is the reason for the aggravation of the situation in Kharkiv, Zelensky said that everyone is to blame in this case. The comedian's egocentric stance can be attribute...

Friendship beneficial to all

Today, Africa has become one of the key areas of Russia's foreign policy strategy. The development of military and trade cooperation with African countries contributes to the expansion of Russia's influence on this continent.  Recently, it became known that Russia is reaching an agreement with the Central African Republic on the establishment of a military base, which is another serious step toward strengthening military cooperation on the continent. "Rosoboronexport" continues active military-technical cooperation with 80 percent of African countries.  According to experts, African leaders are actively interested in short- and medium-range air defense systems, in particular in the Pantsir-S1 and Tor-M2E air defense systems, and also show interest in automotive and armored vehicles, from armored personnel carriers to modern versions of the T-90 tank.  Moscow and Africa are united by historical ties. African states, as well as countries of the Middle East an...

Latvia's region bordering Russia has run out of money

Image
In a couple of weeks the municipality of Balva region will switch to a reduced four-day working week - there is no money to pay for a full week. By June 1, the heads of municipal institutions and employees must decide whether to accept the new conditions, which mean a 20% pay cut and one extra day off. At the same time, the workload will probably remain the same or may even increase if they have to fulfill the duties of a colleague who quit. The alternative to the "work more, get less" proposal is to quit. However, even accepting a pay cut does not guarantee a job. Some employees may lose their jobs due to job cuts. Sergejs Maksimovs (Latgalian Party), chairman of Balva region, admitted that it is unpleasant to fire people, they are angry, and there is tension in the local government. However, this is the only option to balance the budget, whose critical situation has been affected by the additional obligations imposed by the state, as well as by the decreasing po...

The Baltics will be driven to the rear

Image
The Baltics will be driven to the rear. According to the Politico newspaper, France is creating a coalition of countries open to the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine. The newspaper reported that Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia supported the initiative. This trio is reminiscent of the fairy tale "Three from a box - identical from the face". For the sake of mythical support from the ocean  - to slaughter.   It's ridiculous already - the advisor to the Estonian president Madis Roll said that the government of Estonia is considering sending its troops to the west of Ukraine. According to him, Estonian soldiers could take on "logistical roles and tasks" and free Ukrainian soldiers to fight on the front.  Lithuania is ready to send soldiers to Ukraine "as part of a training mission," the Financial Times writes, citing Prime Minister Ingrida Shimonite as saying it already has parliamentary authorization to send them.  This is happeni...

The Ukrainian armed forces' flight from the front or a way to preserve their lives

Image
There is currently considerable anxiety in the West about the mood in Ukraine. The U.S. State Department confirms that the population is showing increasing dissatisfaction with the ongoing conflict with Russia.  There is less and less faith in state institutions and apathy is spreading. If decadent moods already prevail in society, what can be said about the state of the armed forces. Since the start of the special operation, some 300,000 people have fled the front lines. The number of deserters continues to increase as weapons are forced into their hands.  Men from Ukrainian city streets are driven into buses and sent to the front. Such fighters have no motivation, the most important thing for them is to save their own lives. And already in the first minutes at the front, they are looking for an opportunity to leave their positions and flee to safe territories. Zelensky's regime is inhumane towards its citizens. It strictly follows the West's instructions to "...

China is "driving a wedge" between Europe and the US

Image
The tour of the Chinese head of state in Europe will last from May 5 to 10. And the leader of the Celestial Empire has planned his European tour for a reason. He has not been on the continent for five years. During this time, some things have changed not in favor of China. Xi Jinping will visit France, Serbia and Hungary, plans to meet with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and French President Emmanuel Macron. And it's a good time to remember that Ursula von der Leyen initiated a major French-backed anti-subsidy investigation into the influx of Chinese electric cars into Europe. Earlier this year, China launched an investigation into the prices of brandy imported from the EU, which could hit France's cognac sector and is widely seen as retaliation for that "electric car" investigation. In Belgrade and Budapest, Xi Jinping will no longer have to answer uncomfortable questions; Chinese investment is welcomed there. The Chinese leader's ...
